UNIFORMS

All KIPP STRIVE Primary scholars are required to wear uniforms.

We believe wearing uniforms promotes learning, a dignified school culture, and fosters school pride and unity. Our dress code is designed to ensure that scholars maintain an elevated standard of personal appearance and are clean, neat and appropriately dressed. We believe that when scholars wear a uniform, they feel good about their appearance and are prepared to learn. Just as members of a sports team are required to wear a uniform to show their strength in unity, so too are scholars at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools.

All scholars at KIPP STRIVE Primary are required to wear uniforms. Uniforms can be purchased from our uniform vendor, John Benjamin Designs at kspscholarstore.jbdesigns.com. Uniforms may be purchased year around through our vendor, however, after the first two ordering windows, families will be responsible for shipping costs and uniforms will be delivered directly to your home.

The deadline to order uniforms to receive them by the first week of school AND

receive free shipping is July 7.

UNIFORM EMBROIDERY FORM

You wouldn't believe how many items we donate to the Goodwill each year - from backpacks to lunch boxes to expensive coats.

We encourage our families to write their scholar's names on all of their clothing items.

This year we are offering a service that will monogram your child’s name on sweaters and jackets to ensure your items make it home! Let us help you by custom personalizing your scholar’s KIPP uniform items with their first or last name opposite the school logo with white thread.

The cost for each item monogrammed is $15.

Payment can be paid by

CashApp ($zakiyyahrashid) or

Zelle (470-298-5565).

ARRIVAL / DISMISSAL

Getting to and from school.

The majority of our families are car riders - some are walkers and some take advantage of after school vans. KIPP STRIVE Primary does not offer transportation. This means, we have to work in partnership with our families to ensure our arrival and dismissal carpool lines run efficiently and has smoothly as possible.

At the top of the school year, we experience longer than normal carpool times. But once our team members learn your scholar's face as well as their car, things get smoother and smoother, quicker and quicker! Our typical carpool like in the morning takes roughly 15 minutes and our afternoon carpool takes about 30 minutes.

We ask that families are patient and courteous with our school staff and each other as our team works to get your scholar to/from you as quickly and as safely as possible.

In the video above, families who have a KSP scholar (only), follow the yellow line.

Families that have a KSP scholar and a KSA scholar, follow the red line.

IMPORTANT

Left turns into the carpool lane are illegal, cause accidents and are not permitted for any reason.

Families are NOT permitted to drop off on Abernathy in front of KSP. Blocking a bike lane is illegal and a safety hazard. Families who drop off in the bike lane will be fined up to $100 by the Atlanta Police Department starting on Day 1.

HARLAND BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB

John H. Harland Boys & Girls Club has been serving kids and teens on Atlanta’s West End for nearly 50 years and we will continue to honor this rich history as we look toward the future.

The new Harland T.I.E.S Club recently launched with the support of a larger national study supported by the Wallace Foundation. This Club, along with our Grant and Whitehead locations as well as Clubs across the country, will explore how high-quality arts programs can help attract and retain tweens and teens, catalyze exposure to and passion for the arts, and drive positive developmental outcomes. These research findings will shape how youth organizations develop arts programs for years to come.

The Boys and Girls Club offers transportation form KSP.
